Can anyone give me some advice on roasting ears of corn in my Stump's Smoker. Any idea on temp and approximate time. Have 20 ears of corn to roast for tomorrow and looking for some quick advice from the "pros". Thanks in advance!!!!

Maybe one of the pros will chime in...
Fresh ears in the shuck, soak in salted water. Put on smoker at 250....here is a guess on the time...maybe 2 hrs??

I grilled some on the egg a couple of weeks ago that were awesome! Slather with mayo, sprinkle with chili powder and seasoning salt, wrap in foil and grill over direct heat, rolling every 5 minutes for about 30-40 minutes.

Yep. Did you learn that from me? Guess not, 'cuz my salted water is ice cold (after the salt has dissolved). Maybe only 1-1/2 hours? Ida know?

Melt some butter and heat some water. Pour it in a tall can (yes, the hot water and the butter!) Pull the shucks back on the corn to form a handle. Dip it into the water. Since water and butter won't mix, and the butter floats on top, as you remove the ear of corn from this can, it'll be completely buttered to perfection. Yes, you can use just butter, but that will cost more, you will have a lot of unused butter left over, and it'll be messier keeping it warm and the butter melted.

Salt and pepper to taste.

BOB
thanks to a Swamp Boy for the buttering idea

soak ears in salt water 45min to 1hr. Then shuck back leaving shucks intact and remove silks. Slather with butter and crushed garlic salt/pepper wrap with bacon and cover back up with shucks. Smoke at 265-270 for 1 1/2 hrs. Then wrap in foil with more butter and put over direct heat to crisp up the bacon a little.

Thanks for the help. I soaked them in salt water for about 1 hours. Fired the BABY up and set temp at 225 degrees and let 'em go for about 1 hour and 15 minutes turning them one time 180 degrees. Cooked 20 ears and brought 0 home. Two individuals at the cookout asked if they bought the corn would I smoke theirs for them. That being said, I assume everyone liked them. Thanks again. Sorry, no pics to post but I promise it DID happen.

When I cook corn in the husk I soak in SUGAR water for several hours and then on the Stretch at 325 for approx 45 minutes. They always turn out fantastic.
