Last ones I did were really good. Spatchcocked and then as an afterthought I split the breast from the leg qtrs. Injected with hooters hotwing sauce and I don't remember what rub I used.
Cooked on the baby at 300 skin up. Pulled at 155-160 let rest and oh my goodness what a moist and juicy bird! Best I can remember it took around 3 hrs.

Next one will be a beer butt bird injected with peach nectar. Guess what the beer can will have in it?? Yep, Peach nectar. I will prolly rub it down with some southwestern rub.

I cook my turkey whole. I inject with a chicken broth and butter mixture. I rub with a slurry of rub and oil (50-50 mix). Be sure to rub this under the skin on the breast and around the thighs and legs. I then stuff with a quartered apple, orange, onion and some celery. Cook at 275 - 300 like Mike says until it reaches about 160 and let rest for 30 minutes or so. Good eats.

I take a maple brown sugar mix and then mix it with mayo. after that is all mixed up I take it and rub it all over the bird and make sure it is under the skin really well. I do inject it sometimes with melted buter and the maple brown sugar. I cook it just like mike does but this is a very good mix. I do use pecan for smoke.

I try to keep it simple.

Take a little mayo and brush it on the turkey.. Then put on your favorite rub.. I would cook it around 275.. I have had good luck with this method. No brining necessary.
