Here's a video I made showing how to season a Stump's smoker up. Hopefully it's pretty much how everyone thinks it ought to be done. Tried to follow the Getting Started Doc except on the lighting of the charcoal.

Hope this helps some new Stumps users.

Enjoy.

I like!

Just a couple questions/comments...

What color is that? Most of the time, it looks Basic Black, but that close-up of the chimney and a few other shots make me think it's Quau Brown.

I never vaccuumed any of my racks, I just dropped them flat on the concrete to shake off anything. :?

That's what, 3? And 1 for Stump. A big goose-egg for all of the rest of us.

Yes, it's Quau Brown to match the GF222 we have. That kind of dates ya here on the forums...lmao.

The chicken turned out great as well, just didn't get a video of us chowing down.

To date some people just a little more, IIRC, Quau's smoker was the first production model that wasn't basic black. When I saw it (delivered in Lakeland), I told Stump I wanted that color on my GF222CM. He said it would take lots more time, and lots more money. When I asked why, he replied "yours went into paint just before I left the shop". It was delivered to me a couple of weeks later in Winter Haven.

Wade, your videos are all very informative, and you seem to be more comfortable in front of the camera. Keep up the good work.

Wade, keep up the vid I need many lessons before I get my cooker. Nice job, looking forward to more soon. The chicken looked good and now I know to stock up on veg oil and have it ready when my cooker comes. Thanks
