Post subject:  Adding Pictures "within" your post using Photobucket,etc..

I notice some of our members use photobucket to host your images and they tend to copy and paste the link within the thread. But what if you want to actual show the picture in your post without having to go to the photo bucket site to see the image.

Below is the steps to make the picture show up inside your post. Enjoy.

Adding an image to a post
phpBB BBCode incorporates a tag for including images in your posts. Two very important things to remember when using this tag are: many users do not appreciate lots of images being shown in posts and secondly the image you display must already be available on the internet (it cannot exist only on your computer for example, unless you run a webserver!). To display an image you must surround the URL pointing to the image with tags. For example:

[img]http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif[/img----] Special Note: remove the 4 dashes at the end. I put the 4 dashes so you can see the code of what to type in.

Taking the 4 dashes out would show the actual picture within your thread.

I use photbucket for all my photo uploads. You need to create an account, but it's free. Once you upload them from your computer to photobucket, you just copy the IMG Code, and then paste it into your thread. Easy peasey.

Click "upload now" on photobucket home page
click "select photos and videos"
click the picture you want to upload from your computer documents, such as pictures etc.
upload starts, when completed, screen will state, "Upload complete"
click, "save and continue to my album"
click on your image in your album
left click on "IMG Code" textbar will turn yellow, and say "Copied"
right click, on your thread you are posting, then click "paste"
you will get a description of your picture in brackets like these [ ]
Click on preview post before submitting, and you should see your picture.
