I was at Lowes yesterday. They seem to be phasing Cowboy out (Woo-Hoo!) and stocking Frontier now. $13.99 for 20 lb. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. I bought a bag and I am trying it out today. Preliminary impression is that I like the lump size. Uniform and no long pieces like Royal Oak. Depending on how it burns, I may ditch RO.

More later.

Well, I haven't looked at the ashpan, but from a burn standpoint, I started at 10:45am with a full chute. It is 40ish out. No sun. Cooking at 225 F. I have used between 1/4 and 1/3 of a chute on a Stretch.

Not too shabby. Better than RO.

Hey Bill they sell it at sams club. Think it's 10.99 a bag. Used it in my egg there's some huge pieces in the bag I got.

Hey Mac, there were some larger pieces in this bag, but not huge. They fit in the chute with no problem. I like that there are not any long pieces like you can see in other brands.
