I love large pictures, more detail easier to see.

I love duck, bp's and sp wedges! Is that bacon in the pan too?
Everything looks awesome, drooling. Nice color on that duck. Did the skin crisp up for you? Did you have to share the duck with anybody? I'm overdue for some duck. Share info about the cook, prep, temp, time etc.
That looked like a perfect meal. Thanks for sharing, duck tacos sound like the ticket too. :D

thanks guys
I got the recipe from the NY Times Magazine. It was called South Texas Barbecued Duck.
Sort of Tex-asian
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 Tbs ground coriander
2Tbs ground cumin
1 Tbs ground black pepper
2 Tbs Lawrys seasoned salt (The recipe said you could use salt and more pepper in its place. I did)
1 4-6 pound duck

smoke at 250 for 2 hours or so (I used cherry, pretty heavy smoke)
wrap in foil for 2-3 hours more
pull meat from bones serve with tortillas ,salsa and whatever you like on your tacos

so with the wrapping ,the skin remains soft but almost all of the fat melted out.
I should've removed the skin and crisped it up in a hot pan or under the broiler, it would have added great crunch to the tacos

no bacon with the sides
just olive oil, salt, pepper and herbs(I like rosemary on the Sweet potatoes) and a well seasoned cast iron pan. 15 to 20 minutes a side in a 375 oven after getting the pan good and hot on the stovetop.
